Terms of Service
Effective date: TBD
1. Acceptance of these terms
By creating a Velocity account or using the Velocity desktop application, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are accepting on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
2. The service
Velocity is a desktop development environment with optional managed cloud and self-hosted deployment modes. Available functionality is described on /features and may change as the product evolves; material removals will be communicated to Managers in-app at least thirty days in advance.
3. Accounts and seats
Each Velocity user account is for a single named individual. Account sharing is prohibited. Seat counts are governed by your subscription or self-hosted license; we audit usage and may invoice for any seat overage in good-faith arrears.
4. Acceptable use
- Don't use Velocity to build or distribute unlawful content.
- Don't attempt to circumvent the storage container, the audit log, the approval workflow, or the license-key system.
- Don't use Velocity's managed cloud for any workload subject to export controls or sanctions regimes without prior written approval.
5. Fees and payment
Cloud-tier subscriptions are billed monthly in USD via Stripe. Self-hosted licenses are invoiced separately by Aethernaut. Payment failure on the cloud tier triggers the retry sequence described in our pricing documentation; persistent failure results in an org-wide blocking lockout until billing is restored.
6. Confidentiality and your data
We treat your source code, prompts, builds, and audit logs as confidential. We will not access them except to operate the service, respond to a support ticket you initiated, or comply with a binding legal request. Every admin-panel action that touches an org is logged to that org's own audit log as "Velocity Support: [action]".
7. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is". We disclaim implied warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law. Aggregate liability for any claim is capped at the fees paid by your organization in the twelve months preceding the claim.
8. Termination
You can cancel any time from the customer portal. We can suspend or terminate for non-payment, material breach of these terms, or to comply with law. On termination you may export your data for thirty days, after which it is permanently deleted (the deletion event itself is preserved in audit).
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes are resolved exclusively in the courts of Delaware unless a different forum is mandatory under applicable law.
